Mrs. Jenny King-Reid has been serving as the principal of Nelson Elementary since July of 2023. Jenny is a 2003 graduate of Fort Hays State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Education. In her hometown of Salina, KS. Jenny taught elementary and middle school for USD 305 for four years before coaching and teaching at Kansas Wesleyan University. During this time Jenny received her Master of Business Administration from KWU. Relocating to the Wichita area in 2010, Jenny started teaching English Language Arts at Andover Middle School where she discovered a passion for leadership. She graduated from Baker University with her Master of Science in School Leadership in 2014. Prior to coming to USD 261, Jenny served as an Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Eisenhower Middle School - Goddard (2017-2023) and Chisholm Middle School - Newton (2015-2017). In her free time she enjoys working out, reading, spending time with family and friends, and attempting to perfect her golf game.
