Nurse's Page

picture of nurseMy name is Erin Basinger and I am the nurse at Nelson Elementary School. I graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing in 2008. I worked in the Neurocritical Care Unit at St. Francis and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Joe. After being in the hospital setting for a few years, I took a job at Heartspring as a nurse case manager for children diagnosed with Autism and/or Down's Syndrome. I then came to Nelson Elementary as a school nurse and have been here for about 6 years. Fun fact: I went to school at Nelson as a child from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Go Sharks!
